www.DiyPotatoCannons.com is a website that we really love! What happens when you assemble a few PVC pipes, put a potato in the end, and then hit the little red button? Well, you’ll have to build your own potato cannon to find out! This website, diy potato cannons, teaches you how to build your own potato cannon. And, it’s a really fast fun project with some pretty amazing results. Potato cannons are constructed using things from a local hardware store. All you need to do is invest the $4.99 in a set of downloadable plans from diy potato cannons, make a quick trip to the store, and then spend a few hours building you new diy potato cannon project. We think the cannon has a lot of good educational value to it. It really is a great way to see physics in action, first hand. And, it’s also quite impressive how far you are able to fire a potato… they can literally go over a couple hundred yards! Of course, given the power and speed of the potato when it is fired, it’s important that you follow all of the safety guidelines. The bottom line is that the project is a lot of fun, it’s really easy to build, it’s educational, and firing potatoes out of a cannon is not something everyone can brag they know how to do. For only $4.99, why not give it a shot? Learn more about potato cannons here!
